The way I see the world, humankind is rapidly devolving into a barbaric, alienated, imbecile species. I still think that only art could save us from absolute catastrophe.

The way I see it, it already has. Even if time eventually closes for us, the range of beauty in humanity has mirrored the beauty in nature. We invented art out of admiration, out of understanding, and developed its own set of loving, passionate rules- the rules for beauty. We are divine, and so eternal, in our creations.
