I'm surprised at how present the Day of the Dead has been this year. It's awesome to see how my generation, and younger ones too, cherish this tradition joyfully. Even with Halloween costumes on every corner, calacas, catrinas and papel picado abound everywhere you see. I don't think there's another celebration that's so deeply engrained in all of us.
If you have never been to Mexico, this is the date to come and visit. It's just beautiful.
